APPLICATION OF MULTIMEDIA TECHNOLOGIES IN THE PREPARATION OF BACHELORS OF TECHNICAL SPECIALTIES

The article analyzes the effectiveness and presents the results of a study of the use of modern multimedia technologies, namely interactive applications during lectures and practical classes in the teaching of technical disciplines. The research was conducted on the example of studying the discipline “Design of publishing and printing industries” bachelor’s degree in higher education. The course is taught for full-time students studying in the educational-professional program “Technology of electronic multimedia publications” specialty 186 “Publishing and Printing” of the National Aviation University. The various platforms as Kahoot, Quizlet, Mentimeter, Google Forms were used during the research to conduct surveys of students, test control to assess the level of mastery of theoretical and practical material. The relevant values of the survey results on the priority for students in the use of interactive applications as Kahoot, Quizlet, Mentimeter, Google Forms were obtained, their impact on the assimilation of theoretical and practical material, student activity in classes, level of attention in learning new and consolidating the studied material. Initially, the students were shown tests using the various platforms listed above, then the Mentimeter platform selected a priority platform for test control based on the level of satisfaction of respondents – Google Forms. The results of the survey showed a high level of satisfaction of students with the quality of training sessions using interactive applications, provided priorities for choosing a platform that can be used to receive feedback in the teacher-student system. The use of test control on the Google Forms platform before starting different types of tasks showed higher results in terms of the level of mastering theoretical and practical material compared to the oral survey. Thus, it can be argued about the high efficiency of the use of multimedia interactive technologies for the organization and conduct of training sessions. The results of the study can serve as recommendations for higher education institutions in full-time and distance learning to study technical disciplines.
